and My Philosophy
Origin Story of ScleralLenses.org
ScleralLenses.org was created for one simple reason: people who need scleral lenses deserve clear, trustworthy information—without the confusion, overwhelm, or medical jargon that too often gets in the way of good care.
As a residency-trained cornea and contact lens optometrist, I’ve spent the last 10+ years working with patients who were told they were “too complicated,” “too dry,” “too irregular,” or “too sensitive” for traditional contacts.
Many of them arrived in my chair frustrated, in pain, or convinced that nothing could help them see comfortably again. But time after time, scleral lenses changed everything. I watched people break into tears when they saw clearly again for the first time in years.
I helped patients get back to reading, driving, working, and living without constant discomfort. And I realized something important: Scleral lenses are life-changing—but too many people still don’t know they exist, or don’t understand how they work.
So I built this website to fix that.ScleralLenses.org is a place where patients can learn:
-
What scleral lenses are
-
Who they can help
-
What to expect during a fitting
-
How to take care of them
-
How to insert and remove them
My goal is simple: to empower you with knowledge so you can make confident decisions about your vision, your comfort, and your future.
Whether you're dealing with dry eye, keratoconus, complications from surgery, or simply looking for a better solution, you’re in the right place. And I’m so glad you’re here.
A SCLERAL LENS WEARER, LIKE YOU!

ScleralLenses.org is a part of the In Focus brand.

Our Founder, Dr. Morrison became interested in specialty contact lenses at a young age.
In middle school she was told that because of a reaction to her soft contact lenses she would be unable to wear contact lenses again.
After years of trying many kinds of advanced contact lenses, her eyes became very dry and even with treatment, lenses were too uncomfortable to wear.

These problems motivated her to become an optometrist and take all the advanced education necessary to learn as much about specialty contact lenses as possible.
She was fit in custom designed scleral lenses and has been able to wear contact lenses comfortably since.
